Sunday, March 15, 2020 – Day 3
“Mom, I’m bored.”
We’re purging the house during this “Quaren-time”. At the end of the day, it’s was only my bras that got thrown into a pile for me to go through. The good news though – I finally have the time I was searching for before. This could prove to be more of a challenge than I had anticipated, but more from the perspective of being pulled in several directions and a little ADD. The good news though, I’m more and more impressed by how our community is coming together. Tomorrow is the start of homeschooling/ cyber school for the next foreseeable future.
Saturday, March 14, 2020 – Day 2
We can use this to reframe humanity as a whole. And we’ll be doing it on small, singular gestures in a positive direction. Those small, singular gestures will expand like wildfire and reach all corners of this planet and we will get a glimpse of world peace. As in pranayama, if you’re focused on your breath, you can’t focus on the pain. So, we use this time to double down on our spiritual practices already in existence; and create ones if we start with a blank slate. Learn new stuff! No longer are the excuses, “I just don’t have the time” to meditate, I will do yoga when my schedule lightens up, I’ll eat better when I have the time to actually prepare my food.” We have all been given some extra hours in our day. Let’s not only use them but use them wisely and by doing something good for you body, mind, and soul. Meditate, for goodness sake. Pray for the health and well-being for our entire planet. Send love and light to those in need. Be well.
Friday, March 13, 2020 – Day 1
Yes, you read that right, Friday, the 13th. It’s not like I didn’t think it would get here, I just didn’t think it would get here, ya know? It’s so new to all of us. The entirety of the planet is affected. We are all one. Apparently not just the good stuff. The good, the bad, and the ugly. Coming together in a united way for one common cause. It’s really kind cool if you think about it. It’s the first time we are ALL on one side.
The attitude? It’s scary as hell that this is how we have to learn how to be prepared for a global pandemic. It’s kind of a big deal. An unprecedented quarantine, currently for the next 2 weeks. I know we’re all trying to be mentally prepared for a possible extension, some are saying for a possible 6 months to a year. Our school systems are prepared to teach virtually, our children are fully prepared to learn this way. But homeschooling my kids isn’t even what’s the most intriguing element to all this – it’s not whether we have enough stuff to get us through this, it’s not the minimizing of socialization, it’s hardly even if I get the virus (between you and me, how do we know we haven’t had it already?). It’s more about, what’s it all going to look like when we all come out on the other side? I believe that Day 1 is the beginning of a new age.
